Meet Pamela Paspa

Pamela Paspa, PT, MS is a highly respected physical therapist and a leading expert in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. A magna cum laude graduate of New York University’s Physical Therapy Program (1989), Pam launched her career at Mount Sinai Hospital, building a strong foundation in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics before discovering her passion for sports medicine. Driven by a commitment to personalized care, she founded her private practice in 1999.

Pam is renowned for her Total Body approach to treatment. She excels at identifying the faulty movement patterns and muscle imbalances that are the root cause of pain and limit peak performance. By focusing on diagnosing and correcting these underlying issues, she helps patients achieve long-term recovery and return to the activities and sports they love. She understands the challenges and dedication needed to reach your full potential in physical therapy after an injury, having personally torn her ACL back in 2015.

In addition to her clinical work, Pam is dedicated to educating the next generation of therapists as a Clinical Instructor for the Columbia University Physical Therapy Program. She mentors students at her clinic, providing essential hands-on training and real-world experience.

A lifelong learner, Pam continually expands her expertise through advanced education. Her extensive training in Manual Therapy and evidence-based techniques includes:

  • Manual Therapy: Functional Mobilization I and II, Myofascial Decompression (Level I and II).
  • Specialized Techniques: Back Education and Training (BET), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Dynamic Foot and Ankle, Cupping Therapy, Kinesiotape, and Critical Thinking in Shoulder Instability.
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Diagnosis and Treatment of Movement Impairment Syndromes.
  • Spinal Treatment: McKenzie Lumbar and Cervical Courses (Level I and II).
  • Performance & Recovery: Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Therapy—an evidence-based technique to enhance strength and recovery—along with courses in Physical Therapy and Yoga, Pilates, Running the Distance: Injury Prevention for and Management for Runners, Examination and Intervention of the Musculoskeletal System (Level 1 and II), and Osteoarthritis and Running.

Pam and her team are committed to excellence in patient care, a dedication reflected in their high patient satisfaction and consistent referrals from trusted physicians. Outside the clinic, Pam’s commitment to wellness is evident in her personal pursuits as an avid skier, runner, and yoga enthusiast.
